MATH 1920 Calculus II
MATH 3110 Calculus III
MATH 2010 Elements of Linear Algebra
MATH 3460 Foundations of Higher Mathematics
STAT 2050 Probability and Statistics
Students interested in positions in industry or in graduate work in
applied mathematics should pursue this concentration. The minor must
be chosen from Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
Aerospace, or Industrial Technology.
In addition to the mathematics core, students pursuing this track
must take
STAT 3150 Mathematical Statistics I
MATH 3120 Differential Equations I
MATH 3260 Differential Equations II
MATH 4250 Theory of Calculus
MATH 4310 Numerical Analysis I
Required supporting coursework includes PHYS 233, 235, 234, 236
(counted towards satisfying the General Studies Science requirement
for area IV-A) and CSCI 117, 217. If these courses are taken as part
of a minor in computer science, then nine additional hours of
supporting coursework must be chosen with the approval of the
mathematics advisor from
MATH 4230 Vector Analysis
MATH 4270 Introduction to Topology
MATH 4320 Numerical Analysis II
MATH 4700 Combinatorics and Graph Theory
STAT 4190/5190 Mathematical Statistics II
If the minor is not Computer Science, then six additional hours of
supporting coursework must be chosen with the approval of the
mathematics advisor from MATH 4230, 4270, 4320, 4700, STAT 4190/5190
